Residential Refuse & Recycle Curbside Pickup

The City of Holland has a mandatory residential refuse and recycle curbside pickup program. This is for residents that live in a single family home, a duplex, and some apartments. Collection is made once a week on a regularly scheduled pick up day. Look at the refuse zone districts map (PDF) to determine what day your garbage/recycling will be picked up.

Sign up for this service by calling the Board of Public Works at 616-355-1500.

Pick Up Schedules

Put out garbage/recycling by 7 a.m. on your pick up day. You may put it out by 6 p.m. the night before. You must bring containers back in by midnight of pick up day. Check calendar dates for holiday pick up schedules.
