The City of Holland has a mandatory refuse/recycling program for residents living in a single family home, a duplex, and apartments with 1 to 4 units.
Collection is made once a week on a regularly scheduled pick up day. To find your pick up day view the refuse zone pick up map.
The fee for the collection is on a graduated scale based on the size of the container chosen.
Available sizes for your refuse pick up program are as follows:
12 bags/year* $5.70**
24 bags/year* $7.40**
32 gallon container* $10.92**
65 gallon container* $13.65**
90 gallon container* $15.92**
*includes recycling fees **fees are per month
Backyard pickup for Senior Citizens and Physically Challenged: $2.39/month
Individual green refuse bags cost $3.00 each. (Sold in package of 6)
How to Participate:
- Call the BPW Cusomer Service Dept. at 616-355-1500.
- Put out garbage/recycling by 7 am on pick up day.
(No earlier than 6pm the night before) - Bring containers back in by midnight of pick up day.
- Check city calendar dates for Holiday pick up schedules.

Service for the rest of the week will be delayed by
one day. Regular Friday pickup will be done on
