Biography

Dave was born in Northwest Iowa and grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. He moved to Holland in 1976 when he and Sally were married. They have been residents ever since and consider it a blessing to have been able to raise their two children, Jeremy and Cara, in such a great community.

Dave attended Calvin College and William James College with an interest in Arts and Media. He has been involved in the furniture and cabinetmaking industries for 30 years and is co-owner of Trammel Point, a woodworking business in Holland.

Dave and his family are long time members of Christ Memorial Church. He has served there in a variety of capacities. Dave also served for three years as a member and past Chair of Holland Human Relations Commission. He was elected to Council in 2003 and is the Council liaison to the HRC and IRC.

Dave enjoys a good cup of koffie, apple [or lemon] pie, and music. He is intent on being a good listener; so don’t hesitate to give him the opportunity!
