Sugar on Snow! It's an 1800s pioneer treat. You take maple syrup (fresh from the evaporator) and continue to cook it until, when you pour it over snow, it makes a toffee-like ribbon that is scooped up with fingers or sticks and eaten. This program will begin with a short lesson about maple sugaring - how it's made and some history. Then we will lay out trays of crushed ice to make this treat for everyone. Fee: $3.00 per person or Free for Friends of DeGraaf. Please register.
