48th Street, Regent to Lincoln

48th Street, from Regent Boulevard to Lincoln Avenue.
This is a City of Holland project to add a turn lane, minor utility work and resurfacing of the roadway.

Construction Limits -  Regent Boulevard, south to 48th Street and east to Lincoln Avenue.

Start Date -  June 9, 2011

Completion Date -  Mid-August 2011

Phases -
Phase I -  Regent Blvd. to Central Ave.     June 9 - July 12*
Phase II - Central Ave. to Lincoln Ave.     July 5 - August 10
Dates are subject to change due to scope of work, weather, or other circumstances.
 
*Phase I will reopen (with a base coat of asphalt) between Regent and Central before *MDOT starts their bridge project on July 12th. The last course of asphalt will be installed when the entire project is complete in August.
 
*MDOT will be be doing work on the US-31 overpass on South Washington Avenue.  This is not a City of Holland project.  Please click on MDOT link below for information about that work.

Detour Routes -
No through traffic will be allowed. Motorists must follow the posted detour.

Open House - An open house was held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Transportation Service Department.
