
Lincon Avenue Construction -
This is a City of Holland and Board of Public Works project to update underground utilities, replace curb & gutter, possible drainage improvements, add sidewalk and repave the roadway.
Construction Limits -
Lincon Avenue between 16th & 24th Streets; including possible drainage improvements to the Maplewood Intercounty Drain running from 24th Street north to where it meets Fairbanks Avenue.
UPDATE - Starting Tuesday, August 28th, the contractor will begin work on phase 2 of the project. This will involve a road closure for work between 20th Street and 16th Street and will include the enclosure of approximately 1,150 feet of the open ditch that runs along the east side of Lincoln between 17th and 20th Street. Roadway will be milled to remove the existing pavement. The following week (right after Labor Day) the contractor will place two cranes to work on the ditch enclosure. Once ditch enclosure begins there will be lots of materials being trucked to and from the site on a daily basis with a lot of activity occurring along Lincoln between 17th and 20th Streets. This phase of work is expected to take approximately 10 weeks.
Phases -
Phase 1 - Will be on Lincoln Avenue between 20th & 24th Streets. Work is expected to begin June 27, 2012 and continue until the later part of August.
Phase 2 -Will take place on Lincoln Aveneu between 16th & 20th Streets and include closure of the Maplewood Drain between 17th & 20th Streets. Work is expected to begin mid-August and continue until the end of October.

Detour Routes -
No through traffic will be allowed. Motorists must follow the posted detour.
