Lincoln Avenue and 64th Street Improvements -
This is a City of Holland project to replace curb & gutter, possible drainage improvements, sidewalk ramp upgrades, guardrail, repave the roadway, turf restoration and traffic control.
Construction Limits -
Lincoln Avenue - 48th Street (M-40) to 64th Street
64th Street - Airport Court to Lincoln Avenue
64th Street - Lincoln Avenue to M-40
Airport Court - 64th Street to South Terminus
UPDATE 05-08-12
1. The culvert work is May 8 & 9 on 64th Street between M-40 and the Railroad Tracks.
2. On Thursday, May 10 the plan is to mill 2” of asphalt off of the surface and to do any necessary base repairs on that stretch of roadway.
3. The plan for Friday, May 11, is to wedge milling at limits and selected driveways and to replace the 2” of asphalt with a leveling course.
4. Weather permitting, Saturday, May 12, the plan is to place the 1½“ surface course of asphalt on the road. When paving the surface, two pavers will work together to pave the entire road surface in one pass. The paving will start at the M-40 intersection at approximately 9:00 a.m. and will proceed westward to the Railroad Tracks. This will close the road to traffic over the newly completed areas for an hour or so after the pavers have passed.
Phases -
Construction will be done in Three (3) Phases -
Phase 1 - 64th Street, Lincoln Avenue to M-40, May 7 - 21
Phase 2 - Lincoln Avenue, 48th St(M-40) to 64th Street, May 23 - June 4
Phase 3 - 64th Street, Airport Court to Lincoln Avenue, June 6 - 22
