Rain Barrel Basics
Press release date: Wed Apr 3rd, 2013
Did you know that rain barrels conserve rain water runoff from your roof for use when you need to water your landscaping, flowers boxes, vegetable garden or any plants you happen to be growing? Did you know that in a 1-inch rainstorm, a catchment area of 1000 sq feet creates over 600 gallons of rainwater runoff? The Ottawa Conservation District is offering a workshop in Holland on “Rain Barrel Basics” on Monday, April 22, at 7 p.m. at the Herrick District Library. There will also be workshops in Grand Haven and Spring Lake. See the attached flyers for more details.
