Washington Avenue Repair Work Expected to Begin Monday, September 16, 2013

Press release date: Fri Sep 13th, 2013

Starting on Monday, September 16th, the Contractor will be onsite performing repair work on Washington Avenue in the northbound lanes between 34th and 35th Street.  The Contractor must remove and replace a section of the pavement that was damaged back on August 15th when a careless motorist disregarded job site security measures and drove up onto freshly poured concrete.   Lane shifts are required in order to perform the repair work.  One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.  The work is expected to take approximately one week and is weather dependent.  We expect to reopen all lanes on Washington Avenue by Monday, September 23, 2013.

We know that there will be inconveniences during the construction process.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.
