Update on Fire Cause at 336 West 14th Street

UPDATE:  Pursuant to the origin and cause investigation that was completed today at 336 West 14th Street, it has been determined that this fire was intentionally set.  This matter is being investigated further by the Holland Police Department to determine who may be responsible for the intentional burning of this structure.

Holland Department of Public Safety officials and investigators are asking to speak to anyone that may have any information about this fire.  Persons with information or tips regarding this fire may contact the Police Services Division at 616-355-1150 or the Arson Tip Line at 1-800-44-ARSON.  Those providing information to the Arson Tip Line may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 if an arrest or/and conviction results.  As an alternative, tips and information may be provided to Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT. Regarding the second residential fire that occurred in the city at 143 West 11th Street, the investigation is ongoing and the cause remains undetermined.  HDPS Officials would like to affirm that there continues to be no apparent link between these two fires at this time.
