Press release date: Tue May 20th, 2014
HOLLAND - The 2nd Annual Community Tulip Pull is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Participants will be able to pull tulip bulbs for replanting in two City parks – Window on the Waterfront (6th Street between College and Columbia Avenues) and Centennial Park. The cost for participation is $10 for a 5-gallon bucket. All necessary supplies, including the bucket, shovel, gardening gloves, and anything else required must be supplied by the participants.
Those planning to pull tulips must check in at the chosen park – off the parking lot at Window on the Waterfront, and at the gazebo in Centennial Park – to pay and receive instructions before starting to pull. Tulips may only be pulled on the date and times specified.
The Community Tulip Pull is sponsored by the City of Holland and Holland in Bloom. Proceeds will support the City’s entry into the 2014 America in Bloom competition for the 4th consecutive year.
