The City of Holland Human Relations Commission is accepting nominations for its 2013 Social Justice Awards. The Social Justice Awards exemplify the virtues of social justice by promoting equal opportunity and equal access for all citizens in the categories of Housing, Education, Employment, and Government/Community Relations. Person between the ages of 13 to 19 qualify to be nominated for the Youth Award.
To nominate a person, program, agency, business or employer a letter with supporting information should be submitted indicating the award category and should address the following: (1) A description of the involvement and or services provided to a diverse population. (2) A statement on how diversity is valued and demonstrated. (3) A list of involvement with programs and activities promoting equal opportunity and social justice.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Monday, December 9, 2013. Please mail to the Human Relations Commission, City Hall, 270 S. River Ave., Holland, MI 49423 or send by e-mail to Esther Fifelski at firstname.lastname@example.org
