Human Relations Commission
•Monitor local, state and federal fair housing practices
•Review and investigate discrimination complaints
•Provide information on landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities
•Monitors City of Holland compliance with State of Michigan Equal Opportunity Employment (EEO) guidelines
•Receives, investigates and mediates City Employee EEO grievances
•The Human Relations Commission currently has one (1) vacancy.
International Relations Commission
•Explore, nurture and develop relationships with sister cities
•Enhance global awareness and insights into different cultures
Tenant/Landlord Rights
•Investigate and mediate disputes
•Provide information regarding tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities in the areas of security deposits, evictions, leases and rental agreements
•Publish tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities handbook
