The City of Holland Department of Public Safety has openings for Paid-On-Call (volunteer) firefighters. Paid-On-Call firefighters respond to structure fires and other significant emergencies on an on-call basis and participate in fire fighting and rescue work alongside full-time members.  Part personnel are also called upon to participate in Community Involvement activities and other needs of the department as needed. You must be at least 18 years old, a high school graduate, have a valid driver’s license, live in or close to the city limits, and be able to respond to fires at any time of the day or night.  City residency is preferred. Additional college course work or technical education is desirable.  Fire fighting experience is a plus, but is not required.
