Holland, Mich. Holland’s Human Relations commission invites local students to participate in the Martin Luther King, “I Have A Dream” essay competition. The competition is part of the initiative to recognize that youth are essential in moving Martin Luther King’s dream forward. The submission should describe what their dream is for equal access and opportunity in their school or community. They must make a case for their recommendation and why this is important for our future. It must also state what they will do in their school to promote equality and access in our community.
As a recipient of federal funds, the City of Holland, Michigan, must take reasonable steps to ensure that Limited English Proficiency (LEP) persons have meaningful access to programs, services, and information.
