Holland Community Energy Planning Meeting

City of Holland Michigan Official Website

The Holland Community Sustainability Committee will host a Community Energy Plan Town Hall meeting in the City Council Chambers of Holland City Hall on Monday, June 20, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. City Hall is located at 270 South River Avenue in Downtown Holland.

Peter Garforth, an international energy planning consultant who has been retained by the City of Holland and the Holland Board of Public Works to help prepare the first Holland Community Energy Plan will provide national and world wide background on energy issues. He will then discuss the growing critical importance of local community energy planning and why it should matter to each individual and family.

A generous amount of time will be reserved to hear from you. What are your concerns? What opportunities do you see for yourself, your family and the Holland community regarding our community energy planning process, and the long-term energy future of the community? Please bring these and other questions you may have to the meeting.

Mr. Garforth et al is drafting a long range, balanced, world class Community Energy Plan that builds a bridge from current issues to the bicentennial of Holland in 2047. Preliminary Indicator information regarding the Plan is available below as an attachment.
