The Services Division develops policies and procedures concurrent with Department operations. Personnel assist the Chief with preparation of the Department budget, grant proposals, and special projects. Recruitment of Police Officers, Cadets, and support staff is also a responsibility of the Division.
Captain Robert Buursma heads the Services Division and also serves as departmental liaison with the Ottawa County Central Dispatch Authority (911) and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. He is also responsible for coordination records management functions, jail operations, facilities management, grant writing, records and media relations.
