TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)
In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
On Friday, April 18, 2014, from 1-8 pm, the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic while St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church holds their annual Good Friday “Via Crucis”, Way of the Cross Walk. Approximate time for road closures is 4-6 p.m.
The Walk will begin at the church on 13th St, proceed west to Washington Ave, then north on Washington Ave to 11th St, then east on 11th St to Maple Ave & south down Maple Ave returning to the church.
*Sponsor will pay for Reserve Officer(s) and for police cruisers needed during the event.
*All participants 12 yrs & under must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.
*Event sponsor will be responsible for the posting & removing of all signs and/or debris associated with the event.
*Event sponsor will contact other organizations holding events along the route (if there are any) so as not to interfere with other venues.
*Event sponsor will inform church neighbors of their event.
*No painting is allowed on the sidewalks or on the roadway.
*HPD will be notified of cancellations/changes that may occur by contacting Sgt. Kender at 355-1122 during normal business hours.
*HPD will provide barricades that will be set and removed by event sponsors.
*Event sponsor will also provide volunteers at some intersections; volunteers shall wear a reflective vest.
*St. Francis De Sales will have a person of their organization end the parade and remove the barricades as they leave a street until finished.
