INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS COMMISSION HOSTS THE 6TH ANNUAL MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL AT KOLLEN PARK
Holland, MI – May 14, 2014 - The 6th Annual Multicultural Festival will be held on Saturday, June 7 at Kollen Park from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The annual Multicultural Festival in the City of Holland celebrates the community and the diversity of its residents. It provides a forum to acknowledge the unique contribution of all residents.
Multicultural entertainment and activities will be available for every age group. At this time, over 30 information booths made up of local service agencies and faith communities will be represented. The Holland Area Arts Council will have four artists representing art from Russia, Japan, Mexico and Scandinavian traditions. This art will be the focus of the children’s activities.
There will also be live “on-stage” multicultural entertainment and food booths beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by the International Relations Commission and local companies and businesses in the community. This year’s Multicultural Festival would not be possible without the generosity and support of organizations in our community.
