
Purpose:
The Paint and Siding Blitz provides financial help for labor to paint or side the exterior of homes and garages in the Ourstreet Target Area.
Application Requirements:
- Applicant must present a completed application form to the Ourstreet Office before work begins. Please view the application for required documents.
- Owners must submit two bids from licensed contractors of their choice for the work. Proof of license and insurance must also be provided. Owners may choose which of the contractors to use but must pay any difference from the lowest bid.
- The property must be located within the Ourstreet Target Area and must be used for residential purposes only.
- Owners must work within the guidelines of Design Consultant(s) selected for the project. Designs must be approved by the Design Sub-committee before the work begins.
- Applicants must sign a grant agreement.
- Ourstreet will fund only one job per property.
- Maximum project cost $8,000.00.
- No work will be paid for retroactively.
- Any properties owned by the applicant may not be involved in court action with any City Department, including the Department of Environmental Health.
- A 5 year lien will be placed on the home for all grants exceeding $4,500.

Very low income homeowners pay 10% of contractor costs.
Over income - If funds are available, homeowners who don't qualify under low income guidelines may be eligible for a 50% subsidy of contractor costs. |

Selection of Houses:
Applications will be approved by staff on a first-come, first-served basis, however, all applications are subject to review by the Design Sub-Committee. The Design Sub-Committee will approve final color selection. Failure to comply with the approved design will make owners ineligible for the funds. No color changes will be allowed without prior approval of Ourstreet Staff. Participants changing colors without approval will be liable for all costs. Applicants not selected for the Program may be referred to other home repair programs.
Homeowner Obligations:
In return for assistance under the Ourstreet Paint and Siding Blitz participants must:
1. RETURN APPLICATION AND ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO OURSTREET OFFICE.
2. Allow pictures of their homes to be used for promotional purposes.
3. Participant contribution must be received prior to the start of work.
4. Comply with all program requirements.
