Smallenburg Park
Location
Smallenburg Park, Bouws Pool and Holland Municipal Stadium are located on 24 acres northeast of 16th Street and Fairbanks Avenue.
History
Smallenburg Park was named after Dick Smallenburg April 1, 1959. Bouws Pool was named after Russ Bouws. He donated the funds to build the facility in 1973. The pool was opened in 1976. Holland Municipal Stadium opened in 1979.
Amenities
This is a family oriented park and playground adjoined by the Bouws outdoor community pool and the Holland Municipal Stadium which is used for interscholastic football and soccer for area schools and Hope College.
