Swimming Lessons

City of Holland Michigan Official Website

The Holland Recreation Division has partnered with the Holland Community Aquatic Center to provide an excellent program and facility for summer recreational and instructional swimming. The emphasis is to provide instruction for all youth to gain knowledgable swimming and water safety skills.

Class size is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. If your child has been placed on a waiting list, it will be noted on your receipt. Registration deadlines will vary for each session. Registration will be handled through the Recreation Office at the Civic Center and online, NOT at the Aquatic Center.

All swimming classes will be held at the Holland Community Aquatic Center. The Aquatic Center staff teaches the SwimAmerica Program, the same program taught as part of the school swim program. The SwimAmerica structure and teaching technique allows for in-depth and added skill acquisition for all participants in the program. All levels of instruction, from beginners to advanced, will be offered. Participants must provide their own swimsuit and towel for lessons. Each session is two weeks long and runs Monday - Friday. Children must be 4 years old by the first day of class.
