America Recycles Day

City of Holland Michigan Official Website

On November 15, 2013, the City of Holland will celebrate America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful.  The event is a nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. This year, Grand Valley State University, Meijer Campus in Holland and numerous community partners are working together to promote and celebrate recycling along the Lakeshore!

Throughout the week, we’ll be hosting a series of "lunch and learns." Friday morning will kick off our day-long celebration that includes a “Recycling and Resource Fair” that will allow the community to drop off a wide variety of recyclables and learn about resources available to them assist in effective recycling as well as a "lunch and learn" that spotlights recycling leaders from the greater Holland community.  In support of these initiatives, a community-wide recycling guide, video series, and website will be launched in collaboration with local business and industry.
