Update - August 28, 2013 - The I Love to Recycle Contest is now done!

All city residents in our curbside trash program were eligible for the "I LOVE TO RECYCLE" Contest and several won free months or a year of free refuse service!  Please see the links below to view past winners!

"The City of Holland recently held its final I Love to Recycle contest for the summer.
Tom Van Howe and Wayne Elhart were the guest inspectors. They awarded the Guerrero family with one free year of refuse/recycling service for a great jon of recycling and preparing garbage.
Guest inspectors throughout the summer included: Ryan Cotton and his intern Ben Foss; Lourin Springer, TV3; Alex Shabad, TV13; Michigan State House Representative Joe Haveman; Holland City Councilman Jay Peters; Holland City Councilman Mike Trethewey; Sally Laukitis, Holland CVB; Diane Coston, WHTC radio; Tom Van Howe; Wayne Elhart.
One free year of free service was awarded to three familes; six months of free service to six families; three months of free service to one family."
