Fall Clean-Up for Leaves Only
2015 Fall Leaf Schedule -
Holland's Annual Fall Leaf Program has been scheduled for October 3, 2015 through November 14, 2015.
Residents are reminded that only leaves will be picked up. If branches or other debris are in your leaf piles, your pile will not be picked up. Leaf piles left in yard areas cannot be picked up due to the potential damage to yards, sprinklers systems, or landscaping by the trucks and equipment used in the program. The Streets Division asks that leaf piles not be placed near utility poles, guy wires, fire hydrants, mail boxes or other obstructions that would prevent their equipment from accessing your leaf pile.
Please remember that spring cleanup and fall leaf pickup are the only occasions in which yard debris may be placed in the street for pickup by the Street Department. At all other times, clippings, trimmings, and yard debris must be disposed of by other means. Spring cleanup for 2016 will run from March 19 - April 9, 2016.
As with snow removal, leaf piles may only be left on your own property, not the property of another, per Ordinance Sec. 19-7. Please see attachment for details of the ordinance.
