The dog licensing is a program monitored and controlled at the County level.
City of Holland Allegan County residents can obtain only applications from the City of Holland Treasurer's office. Dog licenses must be purchased directly from the Allegan County Treasurer.
Starting January 1, 2011, the Ottawa County Dog License Program will change to include one-year and three-year licenses and licenses will be available for purchase throughout the year. 2010 dog licenses are good into 2011 through the last day of the month in which the rabies vaccination expires. If the license is not purchased by the last day of the month in which the rabies vaccination expires, the license will be considered delinquent on the first day of the next month and a delinquent fee of $15.00 will be added to the cost of the license. To qualify for a three-year license the dog must have just received a three-year rabies vaccination.
When obtaining a dog license at City Hall, please bring in the form that you received from Ottawa County to renew the license and proof of your dog's rabbies vaccination and spayed or neutering.
