High school students applying for a position on an Academic WorldQuest (AWQ) team will meet via Zoom or in person. A meeting will be held with the coordinator to discuss the requirements of the program and answer questions. Students will study current international politics, geography, global economics, history and world cultures. All students will be given an in-depth study guide on the topics for this year's competition. Students are expected to review the information on their own and discuss topics with their team and coach during the study sessions. Each AWQ team will compete in the regional competition, date to be determined. The winning team from the regional competition will compete at the national competition in Washington D.C. on April 29-30, 2022, all expenses paid.
