The official budgeting process for fiscal year (FY) 2022 will begin in January 2021 when the City Council holds "Coffee with Council" events, followed by its annual Advance event.  From the input and outcomes of these public events, the City’s Leadership Team, led by City Manager Keith Van Beek, will meet to discuss budgeting scenarios and suggestions in February and March 2021.

The City Council will meet in April 2021 to review the proposed fiscal year 2022 budget. In May 2021, in adherence to Section 9.5 of the City Charter, the City Council will hold a public hearing adopting a Resolution in accordance with local and state requirements approving the Fiscal Year 2022 budget (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022), including tax rates.
