The official budgeting process for fiscal year (FY) 2021 begins in January 2020 when the City Council holds two "Coffee with Council" events, followed by its annual Advance event on January 25th.  From the input and outcomes of those public events, the City’s Leadership Team, led by City Manager Keith Van Beek, will meet to discuss budgeting scenarios and suggestions in February and March 2020.

The City Council will meet on April 15, 2020 and April 16, 2020 for budget review sessions. In May 2020, in adherence to Section 9.5 of the City Charter, the City Council will hold a public hearing adopting a Resolution in accordance with local and state requirements approving the Fiscal Year 2021 budget (July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021), including tax rates.
