TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER
Order No. 2023-T-0000043 Effective Date October 2, 2023 to October 9, 2023
(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)
In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
Effective on Monday, October 2nd, 2023, the intersection at Ottawa Avenue and 28th St will be closed to through traffic. At that time, Schippers Excavating will be making a water main connection as part of the Wildwood project for Holland Board of Public Works. Work is expected to conclude on October 9th, 2023
This work is not expected to cause travel delays for residential traffic as motorists will be able to seek an alternate route by following the detour.
However, this will affect the truck route on Ottawa Avenue. Northbound trucks will be detoured on a designated detour along 32nd Street to Graafschap Road, North to South Shore Drive, and East on 17th to Ottawa. Southbound trucks will be detoured on a designated detour route along 24th St to Graafschap Rd to 32nd St. The contractor will be making special provisions at intersections along these truck detour routes to provide enough space for trucks to make the necessary turn movements.
Date and time of this project are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
Special Instructions –
The Contractor (Schippers Excavating) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety. Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
