16th St Update & Resurfacing Notice

 CITY OF HOLLAND

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

Order No.  2020-T-000011               Effective Date   July 14 – 17, 2020               

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)

In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:

16th Street Construction Update -

Effective July 14 -15, 2020, VanRaalte Avenue will be closed to all traffic while paving and pavement markings are being applied to the Phase 1 construction zone for the 16th Street Reconstruction project.  Motorists will follow the posted detour route.

Resurfacing of City Streets Update -

July 15 -16, 2020, Black Gold will be milling & paving the following roads in the Wildwood Neighborhood –

  • W 27th St, west of VanRaalte Ave
  • W 28th St, Ottawa – VanRaalte Ave
  • Harrison Ave, 27th – 28th
  • Fairhill Ct
  • Wildwood Dr and
  • W 31st, west of Cleveland Ave

July 17-18, 2020, Black Gold will be milling & paving the following city streets-

  • Prospect Ave, 22nd-24th
  • E 23rd, College to Prospect
  • Ridgeland Ct, north of E 16th St
  • Harbortown Ct, north of E 16th St
  • Oxford Ct, north of E 16th St

During resurfacing operations residents will have brief times where they will not be able to access their property.  Typically when the milling machine passes by, as well as when tack is applied prior to the new pavement installation. 

Special Instructions –

The Contractor (Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc (K & R) and Black Gold) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety.  Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
