River @ 16th Lane Closures

CITY OF HOLLAND

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

Order No.  2020-T-000014               Effective Date  July 30 – August 21, 2020                  

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)

In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
 
River @ 16th reduced to 1-lane northbound & 1-lane southbound -

Effective beginning Thursday, July 30, 2020 River Avenue will be reduced to 1-lane of northbound traffic; southbound traffic will not immediately be affected.    Lane closures are needed to continue with Phase 2 of the 16th Street Construction project.  This single lane closure is expected to last until August 8, 2020.

River @ 16th Street to be closed to all traffic –

Beginning August 8, 2020 this intersection will be completely closed to traffic.  Construction work will keep the intersection closed until approximately *August 21, 2020.

*Dates are weather dependent and may fluctuate due to inclement weather.

This will cause travel delays as commuters will have to follow the posted detour. 

The complete construction zone is Kollen Park Drive all the way east to Lane Avenue.

Work will be done in Three (3) phases as follows –

Phase 1 – Kollen Park Dr – River Ave; June 15 – mid-July

Phase 2 – River Ave – Lincoln Ave; mid-July – September

Phase 3 – Lincoln Ave – Lane Ave; September – late October

This Traffic Control Work Order will be updated as it moves through the 3 phases of work.

Special Instructions –

The Contractor (Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc (K & R)) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety.  Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
