CITY OF HOLLAND
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER
Order No. 2020-T-000010 Effective Date Oct. – Oct. 31, 2020
(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)
In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
10-06-2020 UPDATE –
On Monday, October 12, 2020 construction work will fully transition into Phase 3 work between Lincoln Avenue and US-31. 16th Street will be closed to through traffic between Lincoln and Hoover. North/South traffic will be maintained on Lincoln Avenue, except for when milling and paving are being done. All other traffic must follow the posted detour or seem an alternate route.
Due to 14th Street being a posted detour route, NO PARKING will be posted on the northside of 14th St; Lincoln-Fairbanks, to allow for smoother traffic flow.
This will cause travel delays as commuters will have to follow the posted detour or choose another east/west roadway for their travels.
The complete construction zone is Kollen Park Drive all the way east to Lane Avenue.
Work will be done in Three (3) phases as follows –
Phase 1 – Kollen Park Dr – River Ave; June 15 – mid-July COMPLETE
Phase 2 – River Ave – Lincoln Ave; mid-July – September COMPLETE
Phase 3 – Lincoln Ave – Lane Ave; September – late October
This Traffic Control Work Order will be updated as it moves through the 3 phases of work.
Special Instructions –
The Contractor (Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc (K & R)) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety. Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
