[ARCHIVED] Shots Fired Investigation in Holland

This morning at about 2:42 a.m., officers of the Holland Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a single gunshot at the Meadow Lanes complex, 287 Meadow Land Dr. in Holland city. The caller reported a male subject wearing red sweatshirt was seen with a gun in the area of the office. The vehicle description the male subject was in was also provided. There were no reports of anyone threatened or injured.

Officers located the vehicle travelling northbound on Michigan Ave and attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop, instead the driver increased speed and disregarded several stop signs and red lights.

Within two minutes of the officer initiating the pursuit, due to no reports of injuries or any one threated and the high rate of speed and disregarding traffic control devices by the suspect vehicle, the on-duty sergeant terminated the pursuit.  A description of the vehicle was provided to surrounding agencies.
