The victim in this case is identified as Glenn Scott Mennes of Holland. Based on the results of the autopsy the Medical Examiners Office has determined that Mr. Mennes died of natural causes.

Yesterday, Friday July 14, at about 8:40 p.m. officers of the Holland Department of Public Safety were dispatched to a wooded area on the south side of 16th St. just west of Hope Ave for a report of a body found in the woods. An individual on a walk in the woods reported finding the body. Arriving officers located the victim, a 60 year Holland man who was obviously deceased. There was no evidence of foul play.
The Ottawa County medical examiner's office responded to the scene and the body will be sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death. The incident remains under investigation.
