UPDATE - LG Energy Solutions has postponed the lift. It is now scheduled for September 16 and 17 and then the following weekend, September 23-25
The Holland Department of Public Safety is providing notification that the expansion project at LG Energy Solutions in Holland, located off 146th Ave just east of Waverly Rd., will be utilizing helicopters to lift equipment as part of the construction September 2-4.
According to a statement from LG Energy Solutions: "The trained pilots will fly the helicopters from the West Michigan Regional Airport to our expansion project in Holland. They will safely take off and land, lifting equipment, from our construction site. The work may be noisy for the area and we apologize for any inconvenience."
Work is slated to begin 30 minutes after daylight and continue for 8 to 10 hours each day. All permits have been obtained by the company. Notification is being made so the public, particularly those residing near to site, is aware of the planned activity.
