The Holland Department of Public Safety is pleased to announce Reserve Officer Alyson Reifsnyder as our Reserve Officer of the Year. Chief Matt Messer made the announcement during the annual reserve officer award ceremony. Reserve Officer Reifsnyder will represent the Holland Police Reserve Unit at various functions throughout the year.    

Reserve Officer Reifsnyder was nominated for this prestigious award by her peers. Some of the reasons cited for her being nominated included that she “takes every opportunity to help fellow reserves by mentoring and sharing what she has learned”, and that she is “always super professional on the job, and she represents Holland well!”.  In addition, it was noted that she “always has a smiling face, exhibits a positive attitude, is easy going and a pleasure to work with”. 

Reserve Officer Reifsnyder has been with the department since 2020. In 2023 she received a departmental Merit Award for outstanding service.  The Holland Department of Public Safety is grateful for the dedication displayed over the years by Officer Reifsnyder and she is to be commended for receiving this award.
