| City Council Regular Meetings and Study Sessions | City Council holds their regular meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Study sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday. | City Council Retreat | The City Council has historically held annual retreats to kick off the budget process. Following opportunities for public input, called “Coffee with Council,” the City Manager and Leadership Team would provide updates on City operations. Council would then discuss and individually share their priorities. In Fiscal Year 2020, Council participated in a new process that resulted in a longer-term strategic plan, with an associated business plan.
The City Council will meet in April to review the proposed fiscal year budget. In May, in adherence to Section 9.5 of the City Charter, the City Council will hold a public hearing adopting a Resolution following local and state requirements approving the Fiscal Year budget, including tax rates. |
| Civic Center Place Board | To oversee all operations of the Civic Center Place building and parking
area so as to provide events and activities for the community in a
financially sustainable manner

| Community Energy Plan Strategic Development Team | The Holland Community Energy Plan (CEP) Strategic Development Team (SDT), a work group established, in 2017, by and reporting to the CEP Steering Committee.
The purpose of the SDT is to recommend, to the CEP Steering Committee, strategic initiatives and metrics on interim goals (3-5 years) to achieve the CEP’s primary goals:
o Ensure economic competitiveness
o Provide reliable and affordable energy
o Protect the environment
