May 5, 2026 Special Election

Holland voters will have 2 items on the May 5, 2026, ballot: Macatawa Area Express (MAX) Transportation Authority operating millage and the School District of the City of Holland (Holland Public Schools) sinking fund millage proposal. Please note that voters residing in the Hamilton School District will only vote on the MAX Transportation millage.  

For those on the Permanent Ballot List, ballots were mailed out at the beginning of March. Ballots are available for pick up in the Clerk’s office, with a valid ID, for those not on the permanent mailing list.

3 ways to request an absentee ballot:

• Online – at www.Michigan.gov/vote before 5 p.m. the Friday before the election
• Call – the City Clerk’s office and ask that an application be mailed to you (616-355-1301)
• In person – download the application and return by mail or in person to the City Clerk Absentee Ballot Application
