Memorial at CemeterySummer Decorations

  • Flags may be placed on graves on Memorial Day and should be kept to 12 by 18 inches in size or smaller. Flags are subject to removal by the City within ten days of the holiday.
  • Artificial flowers are not allowed. Fresh flower arrangements are allowed on lots with a permanent urn or a green handled basket.
  • Items not allowed to be placed on a lot within the cemetery include, but are not limited to the following: statues, shepherd poles, flower pots, stand up decorations, fencing, decorative rocks and vases.
  • A green metal flower basket, 15 inches high with handle and feet, is the only permitted container to by used in all flush marker sections and cement urns are permitted in all monument sections.
  • Baskets may be placed beginning May 15, and must be removed by October 15.
  • Baskets left unclaimed after October 15 will be collected by the cemetery staff.

Winter Decorations

  • Winter wreaths are allowed on tripod stands anytime after November 1 and must be removed prior to April 1.
  • Grave blankets are not allowed.

The City shall have the right to remove all objects whose appearance and condition warrant removal and/or violate the cemetery’s rules and regulations as determined by the City. The City also will not be liable for any flower or decoration removed or lost by any cause.
