TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER
Order No. 2025-T-000033 Effective Date September 2, 2025 – November 14th, 2025
(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)
In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
Effective Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, Columbia Ave, between 16th & 20th Streets, will be closed to traffic. At this time, a third-party contractor, on behalf of the City of Holland, will begin phase three of the Columbia Avenue reconstruction project. This project will be completed in three phases and is expected to conclude by early November 2025.
This road closure may cause travel delays, and motorists are advised to seek an alternate route or adjust their travel time accordingly. Access for emergency vehicles and local traffic will be maintained with contractor coordination.
Date and time of this project are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
Special Instructions –
The Contractor (Schippers Excavating) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety. Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
