CITY OF HOLLAND

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

Order No.  2020-T-000020               Effective Date   Sept. 21 – 25, 2020

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)

In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:

Effective beginning Monday, September 21, 2020 at 7 a.m., Pine Avenue will be completely closed to traffic at 7th Street.  Road closure is required as C.S.X. will be in town making pavement and track repairs across Pine Avenue at 7th Street.

Additionally, the northernmost lane of westbound 7th Street will be closed at Pine Avenue to allow extra space for the track work.

This closure will cause traffic delays.  Motorists will be required to follow the posted detour route.  Daily motorists on this route should plan for delays or may choose to select an alternate route via US-31.

Southbound traffic on Pine Avenue will be required to follow the posted detour from Pine to east on 4th Street to Central Avenue.  Temporary traffic signals will be placed at River & 4th Street to allow 4th Street traffic to cross.  A temporary 4-way stop will be implemented at Central & 6th Street as well.  Traffic will then proceed west on 7th Street back to southbound Pine Avenue.

No Parking will be posted in select areas to ease flow of traffic along the detour route.

Work is anticipated to be complete by 7 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020.

We appreciate driver patience as this long-needed work is being performed by C.S.X.

Special Instructions –

The Contractor (Safety Services & Supply, Inc. will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety.  Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
