Biography

Devin Shea is a small business owner, real estate professional, and dedicated public servant proudly representing his neighbors in Ward 6 since 2023. A native of Holland and a graduate of West Ottawa Public Schools, Devin has deep roots in the community he serves.

Devin’s path has been defined by diverse experiences. After high school, he moved to Utah, working at ski resorts and on film sets while studying at Salt Lake Community College. He later pursued his interest in agriculture, earning a degree in cattle and soil science from Michigan State University. This expertise led him to manage large-scale beef and cattle operations in the American West before returning to Michigan in 2016, where he met his wife, Sarah.

Community Involvement

His passion for community engagement was sparked by attending local open meetings and design charrettes, which ignited his interest in the built world and urban design. This interest grew into a commitment to service. Devin is an active board member at the West Michigan Regional Airport Authority and serves on the Michigan Municipal League’s transportation and infrastructure committee. He has previously served on the Holland Zoning Board of Appeals and is a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
