Washington Square Business Improvement District
Overview
The Washington Square Business Improvement District promotes land development and economic growth in the area. Since the creation of the District, there have been several new businesses that have moved into the Square with at least one of them directly benefiting from the Business Improvement District (BID). The Washington Square businesses have continued to promote the Square and to hold festivities and events that cater to the surrounding neighborhood and beyond.

Marketing and Development Plan
The Washington Square Business Improvement District (BID) Development and Marketing Plan is currently under review. This plan will aid in the establishment of an assessment district, which will levy taxes to support the upkeep, marketing, and image-building efforts of Washington Square. The BID’s goal is to create a dynamic Washington Square that is professional, clean, and a source of pride for Holland.
